How GoDaddy’s pricing compares
GoDaddy’s plans are simple: Economy covers one website, Deluxe up to 10 and Ultimate up to 25, with storage growing at each step. For larger sites, its higher cPanel plans add dedicated server resources and a free dedicated IP.
At $5.99/month through our special deal, GoDaddy costs more than the $2.65 average of the other hosts in our top 10. The difference is what’s bundled in: free business email and website security with automatic malware removal are included, where many cheaper hosts charge extra for both. If you value having your domain, email and hosting with one trusted company, the extra cost can easily pay for itself.
Speed & reliability
Fast and dependable. In our testing, GoDaddy delivered quick page loads and dependable, class-leading uptime, with its servers monitored around the clock for problems and security threats.
GoDaddy hosts millions of websites on a load-balanced network of datacenters around the world, so a problem at one location doesn’t take your site down. Every plan stores your site on fast NVMe SSD drives.
Servers are monitored 24/7 by GoDaddy’s own team, which watches for outages, suspicious activity and DDoS attacks. It’s all backed by a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Security that keeps your site online
Security is one of GoDaddy’s biggest strengths. Every plan includes a web application firewall to block attacks, continuous malware and uptime monitoring, and automatic malware removal if your site is ever infected. Free SSL keeps visitor data encrypted, and daily backups let you restore your site quickly.
Customer support
Quick and friendly support. GoDaddy’s North American phone agents actually listen and are good at solving problems. In our checks, phone wait times were usually two minutes or less, and live chat answered in seconds.
GoDaddy offers 24/7 support by phone and live chat, with phone agents based in North America. That makes it a great choice if you’d rather talk a problem through with a real person than type out a support ticket.

Ease of use
GoDaddy’s tools are simple to use and keep getting better. Your domain, hosting and email all live in one GoDaddy account, so there’s no juggling between companies, and WordPress or any of 150+ free apps install in one click.
GoDaddy clearly tests its tools with real customers, and it shows: setup is quick, and its file manager and dashboards are among the friendliest we’ve used.
The control panel
GoDaddy’s hosting plans use cPanel, the most popular control panel in the industry, wrapped in GoDaddy’s own easy-to-use account dashboard. Adding domains, email accounts and databases, installing WordPress or launching one of 150+ apps takes just a few clicks.
With so many GoDaddy products in one account, the main dashboard can feel busy at first, but the navigation bar takes you straight to your hosting tools.

What GoDaddy customers say
Pretty good
“A bit more pricey than the others, but you have the convenience of having the largest web host in the world and all the services, features and add-ons they provide.”
Could use more features
“For bottom-dollar hosting they are OK, and most small sites will do great with them. However, if you have a more resource-heavy site, I think you might be happier with someone else and pay a little more for the added features and extra bandwidth. You get what you pay for, as usual with hosting.”
Can’t beat that price
“To offer a price that low, you would assume something is “up”. I can attest that the service, albeit sometimes a little slow, gets the job done with ample add-ons, and support isn’t half bad either. Recommended.”
Horrible
“It's a mess all the time, servers very slow installing scripts and loading websites.”
Not easy to satisfy, but…
“They have proven themselves to be a well-deserving hosting option. Outages aren’t a big problem and things pull up quick. If you are in the market, give them a second look.”
Friendly techs
“Friendly techs get issues fixed. Gobs of features, but beware of the “unlimited” everything. They can throttle down your account if you go over a certain usage limit, as with any web host offering this.”
While they aren’t the best…
“They offer up good hosting for the $$$. If you want enterprise type web hosting for $3.50 a month, you need to come back down to reality. For most sites they are fine though, at least for us.”
Great until the bandwidth limit
“NOT unlimited bandwidth. Know when you find that out? When they suspend your website for exceeding bandwidth without warning. I co-host a podcast. Here is what they told us: We were exceeding bandwidth & disrupting thousands of other websites. They referred us to their sister site for an upgrade to our own server for hundreds of dollars per month. We have a friend, another podcaster, who had the EXACT same thing happen to him at dotEASY - You are disrupting thousands of other websites. Would you consider switching to our outrageously expensive sister company for your own server? - SCAM.”
